Star Plus, Zee Anmol lead Hindi GEC charts in Wk 26

MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Star Plus maintained its lead in urban + rural and urban Hind-speaking markets (HSM). According to BARC India data for Week 26, the channel registered 60.32 crore weekly impressions, a growth of 1.60%.

FTA channel Zee Anmol stayed at the second spot with 59.14 crore weekly impressions. The channel witnessed a growth of 1.92%.

Rishtey moved up a stair to take the third spot with 58.33 crore weekly impressions, an impressive growth of 6.82%.

With 55.68 crore weekly impressions, Colors moved up a rank, as did Zee TV with 55.61 crore impressions.

Sony Pal dropped to the sixth position with 53.09 crore weekly impressions, a fall of 5.28%. In the earlier week, the channel was in the third place.

Sony Sab with 41.99 crore weekly impressions stayed at the seventh rank, while Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Life OK moved up to the eighth and ninth positions respectively.

DD National went out of the list as Star Utsav entered the chart with 27.47 crore weekly impressions.


Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

After the conclusion of the ICC Champions Trophy, Zee TV’s ‘KumKum Bhagya’ grabbed top spot, followed by ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’.

Colors’ recently launched fantasy series ‘Chandrakanta’ entered the list at No. 3, while Rishtey with ‘Naagin 2’ entered the list at the fourth position.

DD National dropped to the fifth position; its top-rated programme was the ODI between India and the West Indies.


Top Hindi GECs in Rural HSM

Zee TV jumped two places to be at the fourth spot with 21.56 crore weekly impressions, a growth by 12.61%.

Zee Anmol maintained its lead in the rural HSM for the second consecutive week with 47.03 crore weekly impressions, registering a growth of 2.14%.

Rishtey and Sony Pal stayed at the second and third spots with 43.21 and 37.52 crore weekly impressions, respectively. While Rishtey witnessed a growth of 3.83%, Sony Pal’s impressions dropped by 7.52%.

DD National dropped to the ninth spot with 12.26 crore weekly impressions.

Star Utsav and Star Plus stayed at the fifth and sixth positions respectively. Colors moved up to the seventh rank with 18.03 crore weekly impressions. Big Magic and Sony Sab stayed at the eighth and tenth spots with 16.01 crore and 11.88 crore weekly impressions, respectively.


Top 5 shows in Rural HSM

Rishtey with ‘Naagin 2’ grabbed top sport, followed by the ODI match between India and the West Indies on DD National.

Zee Anmol’s ‘Jamai Raja’ fell to the third position, while ‘Tashan-e-Ishq’ jumped to the fourth sport. The India vs West Indies ODI on DD National was the fifth-ranked programme.


Top Hindi GECs in Urban HSM

Star Plus maintained its lead in the urban HSM market with 40.92 crore weekly impressions, a miniscule growth of 2.24% over the previous week. Colors stayed at the second position with 37.64 crore weekly impressions, whereas Zee TV jumped to the third place with 34.05 crore weekly impressions, a growth of 18.35%.

Sony Sab dropped to the fourth place, followed by SET and Life OK at the fifth and sixth spots, respectively. Sony Pal jumped to the seventh spot as DD National went out of the list. Rishtey and &TV moved up to the eighth and ninth spots respectively. Zee Anmol entered the list at No. 10.


Top 5 shows in Urban HSM

Zee TV’s ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ topped the list, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.

Sony Sab’s ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ fell to the third spot while Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ maintained its fourth position. Colors’ ‘Chandrakanta’ entered the list at No. 5.
