Star Plus rules Hindi GEC order for 4th straight week
MUMBAI: Star Plus continued to rule the Hindi GEC ladder for the fourth week in a row. As per BARC India data for Week 11, the channel garnered 74.5 crore weekly impressions in the urban + rural Hindi-speaking market (HSM).
Star Plus lost 1.47% impressions when compared to the earlier week, BARC data showed.
Colors grabbed the second spot with 61.26 crore weekly impressions, a drop of 3.83% from the earlier week.
Sony Pal with 57.43 weekly impressions. Zee TV stayed put at the fourth position. Colors’ Rishtey swapped places with Zee Anmol for the fifth position.
Top 5 shows in U+R HSM
‘Naagin 2’ grabbed the top spot across the urban and rural HSM. The show took the lead in urban + rural HSM and urban HSM on Colors. In the rural market, it aired on Rishtey, which got the top rank.
Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ dropped to the second rank. The rest of the positions remained unchanged.
Top Hindi GECs in urban HSM
Star Plus led the urban HSM chart with 48.10 crore weekly impressions, followed by Colors with 40.96 crore impressions.
Zee TV swapped places with Sony SAB for the fourth spot. The rest of the order remained unchanged.
Top 5 shows in urban HSM
Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ moved up to the second rank as Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ dropped to No. 3.
SET’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ entered the chart at the fifth rank. Colors’ ‘Shakti’ exited the list.
Top Hindi GECs in rural HSM
While Sony Pal continued to rule the rural HSM chart with 42.53 crore weekly impressions, Rishtey grabbed the second spot with 38.18 crore impressions.
Zee fell to the third rank with 36.29 crore weekly impressions. The hierarchy, otherwise, remained unaltered.
Top 5 shows in rural HSM
‘Naagin 2’ on Rishtey grabbed the top spot with 6.06 million impressions after being pushed out of the chart last week.
‘Baalveer’ on Sony Pal took the second place. Zee Anmol’s ‘Jodha Akhbar’ entered the list at the third position, followed by Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya.’ ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltha Chashmah’ on Sony Pal got replaced by Zee Anmol’s ‘Afsar Bitiya’ at No. 5.
