Sony Pix presents Friendship Day special line-up

MUMBAI: Celebrating Friendship Day on 3 August, English movie channel Sony Pix has designed a special line-up of animated movies to enable a ‘fun time’ with friends.

The movie bonanza will see the airing of ‘Finding Nemo’, ‘The Lion King’ 2 and 3, ‘The Smurfs’ 2, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘Hotel Transylvania’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’ from 9 am onwards.

Viewers can see Marlin and Dory have an adventure as they set out on a mission to find Marlin’s lost son Nemo in ‘Finding Nemo’ at 9 am.

The duo Timon, the meerkat and Pumbaa, the warthog retell the story of ‘The Lion King’ from their own unique perspective in ‘The Lion King 3’ at 11:30 am.

This will be followed by the Smurfs as team up with their human friends to rescue Smurfette, who has been kidnapped by Gargamel in ‘The Smurfs 2’ at 1 pm.

A hapless young Viking will become the unlikely friend of a young dragon in ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ at 3 pm.

The evening band will commence with ‘The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride’ at 5 pm, followed by Daddy Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for Dracula Daddy’s teen-aged daughter in ‘Hotel Transylvania’ at 7 pm.

The special day will culminate with the comic caper ‘Kung Fu Panda’ at 9 pm who struggles to fit in and find his place among the masters of Kung Fu.
