Sab TV bags three awards at DMAi Echo awards 2014

MUMBAI: Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) light hearted family entertainment channel Sab TV has bagged three awards for its marketing concepts at the recently held Direct Marketing Association India (DMAi) Echo Awards 2014.

The channel bagged Gold for and two Silver trophies for SABprize and SABurbia board game.

Sab TV senior EVP and business head Anooj Kapoor said, “We are delighted to receive not one but three awards of international honour and recognition from the DMAi for our innovative marketing initiatives. Our goal has always been to create a strong bond with our audiences off-air and to engage them with the brand to extend our platform. Our efforts have paid-off and we will continue to entertain and engage our viewers by offering such interactive avenues.”

The gold award was received by the channel in the Creative/Interactive Gaming category, which led to significant engagement potential with audiences online. A game involving all popular Sab TV shows and characters, went viral with over 50,000 app installs over Facebook, App Store and Windows mobile platforms.

Bagging Silver for the board game in the Creative/Interactive Experiential Marketing category, the game sold over 5000 copies since its launch in November 2012.

The third award for Sab was Silver for Creative/Direct Response Broadcast for SABPrize, a unique loyalty programme in the Indian television industry. Users who register on the website can participate through SMS, answering questions asked during the show and thus collect points. The top scorers win attractive gifts, following Sab TV’s marketing innovation strategy of providing active user engagement.

The creative agency of the channel was Everest Brand Solutions, and the team members of the channel include Narayanan Ramachandran, Abhishek Chatterjee, Harshal Jain and Sana Khan.

The DMAi Echo Awards, brought to India by Direct Marketing Association International, honours the creative par excellence in marketing and advertising campaigns.
