NDTV Good Times brings second season of ‘Kingfisher Supermodels’

MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times is presenting ‘Kingfisher Supermodels 2’ with Neha Dhupia playing anchor, mentor and judge to the contestants this season.

Bringing freshness and excitement to its viewers; this season, the show will be bigger, hotter and bolder because it’s the battle to be India’s next supermodel. Tune in as Dhupia puts the 10 girls through her litmus test, every Saturday and Sunday, at 10 pm.

The show will highlight the lives and personalities of ten extraordinary models over thirteen episodes. Every episode will have a competition for which industry stalwarts will groom the girls and judge them on the final outcome. So every episode is a contest in itself other than the final winning glory. There will be a gratification at the end of each episode resulting in the girl winning a magazine cover, face of a brand, product endorsements, designer’s muse, showstoppers, etc.

The models will be seen performing tasks such as The Indian Ride , Wrecking Ball, Peta Go Vegan, Typography, Aerial etc. shot by photographers like Atul Kasbekar and Colston Julian and judged by people from the world of fashion like Nikhil Thampi and Amit Sadh.

NDTV Good Times channel head Arati Singh said, “Kingfisher Supermodels 2 is back but with new surprises in store. In its all new avatar, the show will feature 10 promising supermodels each one with the potential to become a superstar. Keeping the thought ‘#LiveYoung#LiveIndian’ in mind we hope to reach out to a larger audience through our innovative programming. We are very happy to announce Neha Dhupia as the anchor and mentor this season. With such a glamourous face, I am sure the viewers will love the show.”

United Breweries senior VP marketing Samar Singh Sheikhawat said, “With each passing year, the Kingfisher model hunt on NDTV GoodTimes has attempted to make the show bigger and better to match the decade long fashion credentials of Kingfisher Calendar. Last year, the show took the property to a new high with its revamped version and most importantly gifted KathelenoKense to the Kingfisher Calendar, the most unconventional sensuous beauty ever. The expectations are bigger this time and we are confident that the show will climb the popularity charts with Neha Dhupia taking charge as the show host and mentor”

Dhupia said, “It feels great to be associated with a renowned property like Kingfisher Supermodels. It was a great experience to anchor the show and see all the talented girls perform; and perform so well under so much pressure. The show has evolved over the years and I see it going bigger and better this year too.”
