Live Viacom18 brings new edition of ‘MTV Indies Xtreme’
MUMBAI: Live Viacom18, the experiential events division of Viacom18, is gearing up to bring the new edition of its rock music and adventure sports festival ‘MTV Indies Xtreme 2015’. A focal point of the fest will be Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators on their debut India tour.
The cult rock band will headline the festival to be held on 7 November in Mumbai and 14 November in Bangalore. The tickets for the same will be available from 25 September.
The band members are Slash, formerly of Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, and Slash’s Snakepit; and Myles Kennedy (lead vocals), best known as a member of the rock band Alter Bridge. Todd Kerns (bass & vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), and Frank Sidoris (vocals and guitar) complete the line-up.
The band will be promoting their new album ‘World on Fire’, which will be released in India in October via Sony Music. ‘World on Fire’ is Slash’s second studio album featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.

Rock music aficionado will witness gravity-defying acts along with a host of other extreme performances.

Today we also launch Xtreme as a playlist on our app and as a bloc on the channel which will feature a hand-picked selection of rock songs to feed the soul of every indie fan.”
With a reach of over 25 million homes, MTV Indies has moved beyond TV to attract over 3 million across digital and social platforms. It has already partnered over 100 gigs and concerts, and created two live properties ‘Ribbit’ and ‘Spiro’.
