MUMBAI: TelevisionPost.com presents you with an analysis of the different programming slots of Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) as per TAM data (sourced from subscribers) for the Hindi-speaking markets.

Fiction shows:

Mon–Fri 6 pm: Original airing of ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ on Star Plus averaged at 2.8 million compared to 2.4 million in the previous week.

Mon–Fri 6:30 pm: Original airing of ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ on Star Plus averaged at 4.1 million (from 3.6 million).

Mon–Fri 7 pm: Star Plus’ ‘Saathiya’, the slot leader, increased its average from 9.8 million to 10.9 million. Zee TV’s ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan’ dropped and averaged at 3.0 million (3.2 million), while ‘Sanskaar’ (Colors) averaged at 1.6 million (from 1.7 million).

Mon–Fri 7:30 pm: Zee TV’s ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Kay’ remained stable at 6.0 million. ‘Saraswatichandra’ on Star Plus increased the average to 5.0 million (from 4.9 million) while ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ dropped to 5.3 million (from 5.4 million).

Mon–Fri 8 pm: Zee TV’s ‘Jodha Akbar’ maintained its slot leadership position with an average viewership of 10.8 million (last week it was 10.3 million). Colors’ ‘Balika Vadhu’ dropped to 5.6 million (from 6.0 million). Star Plus’s ‘Meri Bhabhi’ averaged at 4.9 million (4.6 million last week). SET’s ‘Main Na Bhulungi’ averaged at 1.3 million (from 1.4 million). ‘Mahadev’ on Life OK dropped to 3.2 million (from 2.6 million last week). ‘Baal Veer’ on SAB saw a drop and averaged at 2.6 million (2.5 million last week).

Mon–Fri 8:30 pm: Slot leader ‘Tarak Mehta’ maintained its average of 6.8 million. ‘Mahabharata’ on Star Plus increased to 6.7 million (from 5.9 million). The average viewership of Zee TV’s ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’ remained unchanged at 6.3 million. ‘Madhubala’ (Colors) increased to 3.5 million (from 3.4 million), while SET’s ‘Ek Nayi Pehchan’ averaged at 1.7 million (1.9 million last week).

Mon – Fri 9:00 pm: Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum has increased and averages 12.7 million (10.9) and comfortably maintains its slot leadership. Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) has increased and averages at 5.2 million (4.9), Chidiya Ghar on SAB averages 3.5 million (3.2). Desh Ki Beti Nandini on SET averages 1.3 million (1.4).

Mon–Fri 9:30 pm: ‘Yeh Rishta’ (Star Plus) increased the average to 8.8 million (from 7.9 million), thereby comfortably maintaining its slot leadership. Zee TV’s ‘Qubool Hai’ also increased its average to 6.1 million (from 5.6 million last week). ‘Rangrasiya’ (Colors) dropped to 3.1 million (from 3.2 million). SET’s ‘Jee Le Zara’ averaged at 1.6 million (1.7 million last week), whereas ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ on SAB averaged at 2.0 million (it was 2.2 million in the previous week). Life Ok’s ‘Tumhari Pakhi’ increased to 3.4 million (from 3.0 million).

Mon–Fri 10 pm: Star Plus’ slot-leading ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ increased the average to 6.6 million (from 6.1 million). Zee TV’s ‘Aur Pyar Ho Gaya’ dropped to 5.2 million (from 5.3 million last week). Average viewership of Colors’ ‘Uttaran’ remained at 3.8 million. SET’s ‘Maharana Pratap’ increased the average to 3.4 million (from 3.3 million) while ‘Lapataganj’ on SAB averaged at 2.2 million (2.1 million last week). Life Ok’s ‘Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai’ increased the average to 1.9 million (from 1.7 million).

Mon–Fri 10:30 pm: ‘Veera’ on Star Plus increased the average to 6.8 million (from 5.7 million) and held on to its slot leadership position. Zee TV’s ‘Doli Armano Ki’ increased the average to 3.6 million (from 3.5 million last week). Colors’ ‘Bani’ dropped to 3.4 million (from 3.9 million). ‘Bade Acchhe Lagte Hain’ averaged at 2.0 million (1.9 million last week). ‘FIR’ on SAB got an average of 2.0 million (1.9 million last week).

Weekend shows

Colors: ‘India’s Got Talent’ (Sat–Sun 9 pm) ran an average of 4.9 million in the week (6.6 million last week) while ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ (Sun–Sat 10 pm) averaged at 9.5 million (8.4 million in the previous week).

SET: ‘Boogie Woogie’ (Sat–Sun 8:30 pm) ran an average of 1.7 million (2.3 million last week), ‘CID’ (Fri–Sat 10 pm) 5.1 million (4.5 million last week), ‘Crime Patrol’ (Sat–Sun 11 pm) 3.57 million (3.5 million last week), ‘Adaalat’ (Sat–Sun 7:30 pm) 2 million (2.9 million last week), ‘Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali’ 1.2 million and ‘Bhoot Aaya’ (Sun 11 pm) 1.4 million.

Zee TV: ‘Fear Files’ (Sat–Sun 10:30 pm) put up an average of 3.9 million, while ‘Buddha’ (Sun 11:30 am) remained at an average of 0.7 million.

Star Plus: ‘Mad in India’ (Sun 9 pm) ran an average of 2.4 million, while ‘Ishq Kills’ (Sun 10 pm) got 1.6 million.
