Etisalat brings travelxp in full HD to the UAE
MUMBAI: Celebrities Management, which owns travelxp HD, and Etisalat, the Middle East’s largest telecom operator and TV services provider, jointly announced the launch of travelxp HD for Etisalat’s eLife/e-vision customers.
Etisalat will offer travelxp HD to its eLife and e-vision customers in the UAE, presently as part of the Asian Choice Basic package, Western Choice Basic Package and A La Carte option respectively.
travelxp HD is a travel and lifestyle channel with a classic mix of travel and lifestyle content in full HD. The travelxp HD team has the distinct advantage of creating their own in-house HD travel and lifestyle content, which is in demand across the world as well as across the entire Middle East region.
Acknowledged by Eutelsat at the UHD Innovation Partner, travelxp has migrated its entire production work flow in 4K and is among one of the first to do so globally.
In the Middle East, travelxp HD has appointed Mediastream FZE, a key Dubai-based media and marketing firm specialised in TV broadcast, TV channel representation and distribution, to develop and deliver its channels over various conventional as well as new media distribution channels.
travelxp CEO Prashant Chothani said, “The Middle East is a very important and challenging market for high-quality HD television, the percentage penetration and growth of HD TV population being one of the highest in the world. We are pleased to join hands with the largest telecom operator across the region Etisalat, for distributing our high-quality content in full HD and in dual languages of English and Hindi to entertain and address the huge expatriate population consisting of residents and visitors to the United Arab Emirates.”
Mediastream FZE president and CEO Ron Kapadia said, “The UAE is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world presently, as is also one of the leading and path-breaking countries that strives achieving the best in all spheres of entertainment and business, and we pledge to provide the best and highest quality television content as our contribution to this iconic country. As part of our ongoing endeavour, we will be providing dual audio subcarriers in English and Hindi to allow a wider audience base within the e-Life universe to deliver a superlative viewing experience of travelxp content for all viewers.”
