ET Now launches Diwali special programming

MUMBAI: Business news channel ET Now is launching a host of special shows to celebrate the festival of Diwali the entire week.

The special shows will present an all-round investment perspective and expert opinion on what Samvat 2071 holds in store.

The programming line-up includes ‘Samvat 2071: Market Sweet Spots’ that will air on 23 October at 10 am and 3 pm. The show will feature market stalwarts like S Naren of ICICI Prudential and Nilesh Shah of Axis Capital as they identify the sweet spots in the market for investors. ET Now market anchors Niraj Shah and Ayesha Faridi will present the show.

The experts will be in conversation with Avanne Dubash and Megha Chadha, discussing the top cracker stocks this Diwali, on 23 October, at 9:30 am and 5 pm.

On the day of Samvat, the channel will observe the customary tradition of trading on 23 October. The ‘Mahurat Trading: Samvat 2071’ will air from 6 to 8 pm and present market experts like Morgan Stanley India MD Ridham Desai, Reliance Capital chief investment strategist Madhusudan Kela, Axis Capital MD and CEO Nilesh Shah, Ramesh Damani Finance Pvt Ltd owner Ramesh Damani, Motilal Oswal Financial Services director and co-founder Raamdeo Agrawal, and India Infoline founder and chairman Nirmal Jain welcoming Samvat 2071.

This will be followed by ‘Samvat 2071: A Breakout Year?’ telecasting on 23 October at 8:30 pm and on 24 October at 12 noon. It will showcase what levels could the Nifty and Sensex scale in this trading year and which are the best investment ideas. Ridham Desai of Morgan Stanley will identify all of that with Niraj Shah and Ayesha Faridi.

The channel will also give its viewers a sneak peek into the investment philosophy of ace fund manager Reliance Mutual Fund CIO equity Sunil Singhania. The show is a marquee property anchored by Niraj Shah and Tanvir Gill, and will touch on the lighter side of investments and wealth creation on 23 October at 11 am and 24 October at 1 pm.

ET Now will also get into the Motilal Dealing room to get a sense of the best investment ideas for Samvat 2071 in its show ‘Motilal Brokerage View’ on 23 October at 12:30 pm and 24 October at 11:30 am.

Motilal’s team of market experts, led by Raamdeo Agrawal, will come up with ideas exclusively for the viewers, anchored by the channel’s stocks editor Nikunj Dalmia.

On 24 October, the channel will air ‘Back to School’ at 1:30 pm and then at 7 pm, with Standard Chartered Securities India Ltd MD Ratnesh Kumar, Envision Capital MD and CEO Nilesh Shah and IndAsia Fund Advisors Pvt Ltd chairman Pradip P Shah indulging in discussions with students from top B-schools in Mumbai. They will discuss the current market scenario and guide students in selecting the apt investing tools and methodologies with Niraj Shah.

In addition, the channel will also air Diwali special episodes of its feature shows such as ‘Brand Equity’, ‘Investor’s Guide’ and ‘The Property Guide’ this weekend.
