Doordarshan to re-run Shah Rukh Khan’s popular TV show ‘Circus’

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s fans will be taking a trip down the memory lane as they get to watch ‘Circus’, an old TV serial of the Bollywood star.

Doordarshan will be running ‘Circus’ from 19 February at 8 pm. The popular serial had its first run in 1989.

‘Circus’, directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah, was set in a circus troupe. It set a platform for Khan’s jump into Bollywood.

SRK played a character named Shekharan and was paired opposite Renuka Shahane on the show. ‘Circus’ marked the first of several collaborations between Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah.

Doordarshan National announced the news on its twitter handle. The channel tweeted, “Good news for @iamsrk Fans – DON’T MISS @iamsrk’s #Circus – Tv Series (1989) – From 19 Feb at 8 pm only on @DDNational”
