Disney Junior launches on Dialog in Sri Lanka

MUMBAI: Disney India’s preschool channel Disney Junior has launched in Sri Lanka on Dialog Television, the country’s largest pay TV platform. Disney Junior is assigned channel no. 55.

Targeted at kids aged 2-7 years, the channel’s programming blends Disney’s storytelling and characters with learning components, including early math and language skills, as well as healthy eating and lifestyles, with an emphasis on social and emotional development.

“Disney Junior reaches millions of homes across 32 feeds in 26 different languages. We are extremely happy to launch Disney Junior on Dialog Television, Sri Lanka’s premier satellite entertainment network. With this launch, we will be spreading the Disney hallmark experience to youngsters, parents and their caregivers in Sri Lanka and provide them an opportunity to engage with classic as well as contemporary Disney stories and characters,” said Disney India VP- Revenue, Media Networks Nikhil Gandhi.

Disney Junior’s schedule will include daily telecasts of the hit series of ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’, ‘Mickey Mouse Clubhouse’ along with the popular princess series ‘Sofia the First’ and the youngest doc-on-the-block ‘Doc McStuffins’.

The channel also brings telecast of popular shows such as ‘Special Agent Oso’, ‘Handy Manny’, ‘Little Einsteins’, ‘The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh’, ‘Jungle Junction’, ‘Octonauts’, ‘The Hive’, ‘Mickey Mousekersize’, ‘Tasty Time with ZeFronk’, ‘Handy Manny’s School for Tools’ and more.

In India, Disney Junior reaches out to 30.6 million households and is available across all key DTH and cable TV platforms.
