Led by the media discourse on demonetisation, all the top five Hindi news channels individually went past the viewership numbers of Aaj Tak in Week 44.
The leader in the pack, Aaj Tak took its viewership from a little under 11 crore to over 17 crore impressions in Week 45.
For the week ended 11 November, the top three positions in the Hindi news genre remained unchanged.
Zee News moved up a stair to occupy the fourth spot, pushing India News down to the fifth position.

English news genre leader Times Now once again crossed 1-million (10.52 lakh) weekly impressions, up from 8.15 lakh impressions in the preceding week.
NDTV 24×7 climbed to the third spot even as CNN News18’s viewership swelled to help it retain the second position. India Today Television, ranked fourth, posted the slowest growth among the top five channels.
Even as the US announced the election of Donald Trump as its new president, BBC World News saw its viewership rise sharply (227,000). The channel entered the top 5 by pushing out NewsX.
