Colors to open 8 pm slot on Sundays with ‘Mission Sapne’
MUMBAI: Colors is launching a weekly show, ‘Mission Sapne’, to open up an 8 pm slot on Sundays for the channel. Earlier, Colors aired original programming from 9 pm.
Produced by Sobo Films and hosted by Sonali Bendre, ‘Mission Sapne’ is an initiative from Colors that brings together celebrities and encourages them to leverage their fame for the benefit of the common man. As per the format, celebrities step into the shoes of the common man for a day and earn their daily wage.
Colors has partnered with Tata Motors for its upcoming show ‘Mission Sapne’. Through this association, both brands will enhance their focus on social welfare as they strive to present a unique CSR-led initiative to synergise their efforts towards creating a better tomorrow for the country’s underprivileged.
Season 1 of the show will see celebrities from Bollywood, television, sports and music volunteering in this mission. They include actors Salman Khan (Barber), Varun Dhawan (Pattiwala), Harbhajan Singh (Namkeen seller), Mika Singh (Chaiwala), Ronit Roy (Cosmetic seller), Ranbir Kapoor (Vada-pav seller), Ram Kapoor (Taxi driver), Karan Johar (Photographer), Drashti Dhami (Nimbu-mirchi seller) and Siddharth Malhotra (Vegetable vendor).
The celebrities will move away from their comfort zone to drive a taxi, sell vegetables or become a door-to-door salesman and use their talent, wit and star persona to bring about a change in their ordinary and tough life. They will also experience the various difficulties faced by those who bring comfort to our lives.

This is not for the first time that Tata Motors has partnered with Colors. It was also the title sponsor of Anil Kapoor-starrer espionage series ‘24’ on the channel.
