Colors gains to take 2nd spot in U+R HSM

MUMBAI: Colors pushed out Zee TV from the second position in the urban + rural Hindi-speaking market (HSM), according to BARC data for the week ended 25 August.

Colors garnered 61.82 crore weekly impressions, a growth of 2.42%. Zee TV slipped to the third with 61.72 crore weekly impressions, a fall of 1.78%.

FTA channel Zee Anmol maintained its lead in the U+R HSM with 81.54 crore weekly impressions.

The channel witnessed a massive growth of 21.44% compared to the earlier week, creating a huge lead.

Star Plus with 59.85 crore weekly impressions stayed at the fourth rank, whereas Rishtey grabbed the fifth position with 52.05 crore weekly impressions.

Sony Pal fell to the sixth rank with 50.77 crore weekly impressions, followed by Sony Sab and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) with 39 crore and 38.31 crore weekly impressions, respectively.

Star Utsav moved up to the ninth spot while Life OK dropped to the 10th.

Top 5 shows in U+R HSM

Zee TV had three of its shows in the top 5—‘Kumkum Bhagya’, ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and ‘Kundali Bhagya’.

Colors’ ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and Zee Anmol’s ‘Jamai Raja’ featured at the second and third positions.

Top Hindi GECs in Rural HSM

With 38.97 crore weekly impressions, Rishtey moved up to the second place, as Sony Pal dropped to the third rank. While Rishtey witnessed a growth of 1.92%, Sony Pal saw a drop of 9.69%

Zee Anmol stayed at the top with 64.44 crore weekly impressions. In the rural Hindi-speaking market, the channel witnessed a growth of 22.52%.

Star Utsav took the fourth spot with 25.59 crore weekly impressions, followed by Zee TV at fifth with 24.68 crore weekly impressions.

Colors and Star Plus moved up to the sixth and seventh positiond, respectively.

Big Magic fell to the eighth rank, followed by DD National, which made its entry at the ninth place. Sony Sab occupied the bottom position.

Top 5 shows in Rural HSM

The order of the top 5 shows in the rural HSM saw only one change. Rishtey’s ‘Kasam’ entered the chart at the fifth spot as Zee Anmol’s ‘Tashan-E-Ishq’ exited the list.

Top Hindi GECs in Urban HSM

Colors maintained its lead with 41.38 crore weekly impressions, despite witnessing a miniscule drop 0.21%.

Star Plus and Zee TV followed at the second and third positions with 41.12 and 37.03 crore weekly impressions, respectively.

SET climbed to the fourth spot with 27.76 crore weekly impressions, while Sony Sab slipped to fifth with 27.08 crore weekly impressions.

Zee Anmol moved up to the seventh spot with 17.09 crore weekly impressions, followed by &TV and Sony Pal at the eighth and ninth spots respectively. Rishtey was at the bottom of the chart.

Top 5 shows in urban HSM

Colors’ ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8’ topped urban chart. It was followed by Zee TV’s ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’.

Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ moved up to the third spot, whereas Colors ‘Mahakali’ entered the chart at No. 4. After a long time, Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ entered the chart at the fifth rank.

Sony Sab’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ and Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ went out of the list.
