Colors expects ‘Bigg Boss 8’ ratings to soar with entry of queen of reality TV Kim Kardashian

MUMBAI: Colors expects its controversial reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 8’ to soar in popularity as the international queen of reality TV Kim Kardashian gets ready to step in on 22 November.

This is not the first time that Colors has roped in an international star to enter the house. Typically, every season of the show has witnessed international stars and viewers have been treated to the likes of Jade Goody (season two), Pamela Anderson, Veena Malik and The Great Indian Khali (season four), Andrew Symonds and Sunny Leone (season five). However, most of these stars have stayed in the house for a limited number of days.

On her maiden trip to India, Kardashian will visit the house as a guest to interact with the contestants.

The channel terms her entry into the ‘Bigg Boss’ house as the perfect integration opportunity to bring the best in entertainment to the television sets. Kardashian has always been in the spotlight internationally for her popular show based on her life ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’.

Wizcraft International Entertainment director Andre Timmins said, “It gives us great pleasure to welcome and facilitate Kim Kardashian’s maiden visit to India. We are confident that our country and its people will play excellent hosts to this international superstar.”

The 34-year-old mother, model and fashion icon commented, “Namaste India…main Kim Kardashian aa rahi hoon India…Bigg Boss ke ghar mein.”

Hosted by superstar Salman Khan, the current edition of ‘Bigg Boss’ continues to be home to 12 contestants including Karishma Tanna, Diandra Soares, Gautam Gulati, Puneet Issar, Upen Patel, Pritam Singh, Praneet Bhatt, Sonali Raut, Nigaar Khan, Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan, Renee Dhyani and Ali Quli Mirza.
