Colors Bangla to launch comedy show ‘Chaka Chak Comedy Chowk’ on 16 Apr
MUMBAI: Bengali GEC Colors Bangla will launch a comedy show titled ‘Chaka Chak Comedy Chowk’ on 16 April.
‘Chaka Chak Comedy Chowk’ will air every weekend at 9 pm.
‘Chaka Chak Comedy Chowk’ will star the king of Bengali comedy, Rudranil Ghosh, who is also a producer of the show.
The show will also feature veteran comedians like Kanchan Mullick, Biswanath Basu, Khwaraj Bandopadhyay, Paran Bandopadhyay and Ambarish Bhattacharya.
The show promises to be a comical rollercoaster ride in the lives of brothers Rudy Haldar, played by Rudranil, and Kanchan Haldar, played by Kanchan Mullick, who own rival tea-stalls off the national highway near Chandni Chowk. The brothers employ dubious tricks to make travellers stop at their tea-stalls.
Film personalities and celebrities will play commuters in the show. The premiere will kick off with the cast of Prasenjit Chatterjee, Yash Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan.

As part of the promotional campaign, Colors Bangla has planned a viewer engagement activity. An exclusive on-air ‘Watch & Win’ contest during the telecast of every episode of the show will enable audiences to win tickets to the T20 IPL match of the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. With over 350 tickets to be won during the IPL season, viewers have more than one reason to tune in to the show.
