Big Magic Ganga to present ‘Big Memsaab 6’ in Aug

MUMBAI: Big Magic Ganga, the regional channel for Bihar, Jharkhand and Purvanchal, is bringing back its popular reality show ‘Big Memsaab’ in its sixth season in August.

Starting in August, the show will be anchored and judged by popular celebrities like Bhojpuri actress Smriti Sinha, Hindi TV actor Sumit Vats, and noted folk singer Malini Awasti. The 26-episode series will be telecast twice a week.

Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd EVP and business head Ashwin Padmanabhan said, “After receiving an enormous response for our last five seasons, we have come up with a brand new season of the show. Being the No. 1 regional channel of the heartland, we only strive to provide original content that is entertaining and can engage maximum viewers. To make this platform available for maximum number of women in the region, we are once again back bigger and better this season.”

‘Big Memsaab’ has to date covered over five seasons, providing an opportunity to over 1,500 married ladies to appear on the channel and win prizes. The reality show enables participants to showcase their talent through unique rounds.

Big Magic Ganga programming head Partha Dey said, “Big Magic Ganga has worked on the core insight of the region. This show identifies the latent need of women to showcase their skills and talent on a larger media platform. The recognition and appreciation has led to the growing popularity of the show and thus we have covered five seasons so far with over 400 episodes. We look forward to yet another success of Season 6.”

Participants have to qualify for three stages of audition: Talented Memsaab, which will focus on the talents that the participants can showcase; Khubsoorat Memsaab, where the contestants will be judged on their grooming capabilities; Kitchen Ki Memsaab, where they will showcase their cooking skills. The contestants who will qualify for the third stage will compete in the finale.

Other than Big FM and Big Magic, the show will be promoted through on-ground activation, OOH, print, digital and cinema.
