9X Tashan partners Bingo to hunt for next big singer in Punjab
MUMBAI: 9X Tashan has partnered with ITC’s Bingo Mad Angles to launch a talent hunt for the next music sensation in Punjab.
Titled ‘Bingo Mad Angles Music Star in association with 9X Tashan’, the talent hunt will provide singing enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their talent and win an opportunity to make an album along with singing superstars from Punjab.
9X Media chief revenue officer Pawan Jailkhani said, “We are extremely pleased to partner with Bingo Mad Angles and create this unique property to introduce the next big singer in Punjab. 9X Tashan is the preferred Punjabi music channel among the youth in India. We are confident that ‘Bingo Mad Angles Music Star in association with 9X Tashan’ will receive a great response from aspiring singers.”
Auditions for aspiring singers have been held in Chandigarh, Amritsar and Ludhiana. To announce the talent hunt, a special music video titled ‘Bingo Mad Angles’ was created featuring Punjab’s popular singers Badshah, Ammy Virk, A Kay and Maninder Buttar.
The song was written, conceptualised and directed by 9XM and 9X Tashan cluster head programming Baljinder Mahant. JSL Singh composed the music for the song. Participants have to sing this song in their own unique style and submit their entries. The winner of the talent hunt will get to feature in a music video with these popular artists.
Participants can take part by logging on to the official website and upload their entry, by calling the IVR number or audition on ground in malls across Chandigarh, Amritsar and Ludhiana. Entries can also be uploaded using codes printed behind Bingo Mad Angles pack.
Mahant added, “Punjabi music is on the rise and there are many new artists that deserve to be heard in the commercial market. But due to the lack of funds and other restrictions in creating a new album or music videos, talented new singers are not able to enter the industry. With large brands like Bingo Mad Angles getting into the music space with such innovative partnerships, the journey of new singers gets smooth and effortless. Bingo Mad Angles Music star will not only benefit the industry but also encourage other corporate and brands to reach out to their consumers through effective and innovative marketing.”
Bingo Mad Angles Music star, in association with 9X Tashan, will be promoted across TV, print, radio and on-ground platforms. The talent hunt will also be promoted across the digital and social media platforms of 9X Tashan and 9X Media. Big FM and Hindustan Times have been roped in as radio and print partners respectively.
9X Tashan will also capture the journey of the winner in a special half-hour episode to be aired on the channel.
