Yahoo re-launches cricket app

MUMBAI: Yahoo has re-launched Yahoo Cricket app in a brand new avatar that it said promises one of the fastest live scores available and a rich, revamped user experience.

With updates and comprehensive content, the new look and feel of the app boasts of a refreshed design that is likely to make it a one-stop destination for cricket lovers to follow and enjoy the game.

Available for iOS and Android devices, the app offers new features such as ‘Moments You Missed’, real-time polls, interesting infographics, social media inputs and prompt access to cricket scores, news and stats.

The app, Yahoo said, also offers a visually stunning and intuitive design that enablers the user to skip directly to the scorecard of his choice from the homepage.

A feature of the app is the ‘Ball by Ball’ function that allows the user to view when a bowler starts his run-up and anticipate what happens next. The ‘Moments You Missed’ feature captures key moments and recaps them for the user when he returns to the app.

Other regulars such as wicket boundary highlights, schedules and match timings are all easily accessible.

“The refreshed Yahoo Cricket app is a step towards enhancing the match experience for millions of cricket fans in India who crave real-time, quality content and superior fan experiences every day,” said Yahoo India VP, MD Gurmit Singh.
