Shah Rukh Khan to beam live on #fame

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will interact and engage with his fans through several online live beams on #fame on 31 January.

SRK’s fans can now look forward to interacting with him through online live video beams on #fame – from Q&A’s and life lessons to interesting moments from his work and life and causes he believes in.

Khan said, “I have been fortunate to receive love and affection from so many lovely people from around the world, over the years. I don’t like calling them just my “fans”, they are the ones who love and support me and I always look for ways in which I can give back this love. Social media has been one easy way of connecting with a lot of them. #fame now will make video interaction possible with all of them and get me a step closer to them. So, I am delighted to invite everyone – Follow iamsrk on #fame. I look forward to my live beams and interactions on #fame.”

To The New Ventures CEO Puneet Johar said, “As a live video social platform, we have seen massive user growth with over 3 million installs within six months since launch across Asia and we are very excited to welcome Shah Rukh to the platform. We believe that Shah Rukh will inspire millions of talented young people to use #fame as a platform to showcase their talent to the world.”

As may be recalled, #fame launched its live video app in May last year and in a short span of time has emerged as the fastest growing in Asia. Since launch, #fame has had 3 million downloads and now attracts 1 million monthly active users. Users can go live on a simple click of a button on their mobile, build a following and do so without the hassles of production. Users can chat live with those they follow, engage them with stickers and leave comments. #fame has begun its expansion in Asia with localised versions of the platform being launched in Indonesia, Thailand and other markets.
