Nagra to showcase intuiTV at the 2016 Apos show
MUMBAI: Nagra, a Kudelski Group company which provides content protection and multiscreen television solutions, will showcase its latest innovations designed to deliver a secure, engaging and everywhere experience for pay TV operators at the 2016 Asia-Pacific Operator Summit (APOS), taking place at the Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali, Indonesia, from 26-28 April.
The event will mark the debut of Nagra’s all-in-one TV experience, intuiTV, in the Asia-Pacific region and feature a showcase of the company’s end-to-end solutions and latest customer deployments.
“We’re very excited to bring our latest innovations to APOS, and premiere intuiTV in the region as our showcase centerpiece demonstrating that the future of television is in fact television. intuiTV will show how pay-TV service providers in Asia can reach a new generation of viewers while delighting current subscribers through an elegantly simple, all-in-one and enjoyable viewing experience that also helps them stay relevant and competitive in a continuously transforming pay-TV environment,” said Nagra senior VP Group Marketing Ivan Verbesselt.
The intuiTV experience, recently awarded for making TV “more millennial friendly”, instantly immerses consumers into the content they love via a unique swipe-to-tune user interface and a contextual programmable e-ink remote control.
intuiTV is offered as a managed cloud-based platform and can be configured with a full line-up of premium content and advanced TV services featuring live TV, VOD, SVOD services (like Netflix and YouTube), PVR/nPVR, and social TV, all with advanced search and recommendation (including voice).
Visitors will also learn about Nagra’s growing footprint in the Asia-Pacific region and see latest deployments of theMediaLive multiscreen solution and OpenTV 5 HTML5 connectware that have enabled operators such as VTVCab and Taiwan Broadband Communications to deploy advanced platforms and next generation services while ensuring robust content protection on any device.
Direct-to-TV security will complement the security showcase showing how operators can enable pay-TV services directly on 4K Ultra HD connected TVs without any additional hardware, thanks to Hollywood-approved security that exceeds studio requirements for 4K Ultra HD and other forms of enhanced content.
As a featured presentation of the Apos conference, Kudelski Group chairman, CEO André Kudelski along with Taiwan Broadband Communications CEO Thomas Ee and SES chief commercial officer Ferdinand Kayser will present the session titled “Gateways to the Digital Kingdom” on 27 April at 4 pm.
