MEASAT ropes in Prashant Butani to spearhead business in South Asia

MUMBAI: MEASAT Satellite Systems has appointed Prashant Butani as senior sales director for South Asia.

Prashant ButaniHis appointment comes in the wake of Vishal Mathur putting in his papers as senior director of sales and marketing. Mathur is serving his notice period until 31 December.

In his role, Prashant will be responsible for building and supporting MEASAT’s customer base and managing government agencies across the South Asian region.

Prior to joining MEASAT, Prashant was a senior analyst in a leading satellite industry research company and regional head for a multinational telecommunications services company. He has 10 years of experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry.

Prashant holds an MSc in Satellite Communications Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, and a degree in engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.
