JAINHITS offers digitisation solutions to LCOs for Rs 4.99 lakh
MUMBAI: In a bid to create a strong value proposition for local cable operators (LCOs) to become independent multi-system operators (MSOs) with low investment and high returns, JAINHITS has announced an offer providing digitisation solutions to them at Rs 4.99 lakh.
JAINHITS’ Headend-in-the-sky (HITS) technology, in partnership with Motorola (now known as ARRIS) and IntelSat, is offering a proposition to the LCOs of an overnight plug and play digitisation solution that comes for an investment of Rs 4.99 lakh.
With the said investment, the LCO is stated to get all the necessary help in terms of technology, content and set-top box (STB) that will enable him to operate independently.
JAINHITS national sales head Jeet Narayan Singh said, “In our endeavour to enable 60,000 small and medium operators to become MSOs and go digital independently, we are offering end to end single window solutions. JAINHITS’ offerings are fully DAS compliant with wider choice of channels that are cost effective and the fastest way to offer digital cable services in any part of India. Our broadband offering gives additional edge to LCOs and helps them to increase their revenues.”
Through this engagement, JAINHITS will provide subscriber management system (SMS), which empowers LCOs to manage their own customer base and offer customised packs to its subscribers.
The LCO will also be able to manage billing and create his own subscriber records as required by regulators. The SMS also provides an inventory management system and MIS system which enables the LCO to operate his business, generate reports and manage taxation.
The partnership with JAINHITS offers LCOs new product or service roadmaps to address the evolving market and customer needs along with the full technology solution roadmap for cable TV network upgradation. LCOs will also receive training on technical, legal, product, consumer satisfaction, compliance aspects and more which facilitates them to offer standardised services.
JAINHITS said it can provide direct services to over 60,000 LCOs spread across India with average investment of Rs 10 lakh ( Rs 1 million) per operator, thereby digitising the country for just Rs 6,000 crore ( Rs 60 billion), which is one-third of the investment required by MSOs.
The saving of Rs 12,000 crore (Rs 120 billion) is being passed on to the customers by providing cheaper services with enhanced quality viewing, the HITS service provider said.
Moreover, JAINHITS’ ‘Go Digital’ entry scheme strategy also claims to help LCOs increase their subscriber base manifold in a short span of time. And through the partnership model, LCOs will witness significant increase in their customer ARPUs which are likely to double in 2014-15 with broadband and other value-added services (VAS).
JAINHITS recently launched a campaign ‘Cable ka Shahenshah, DTH ka Baap’ to promote this offer.
