Hungama to offer Marvel and Disney movies
MUMBAI: Digital entertainment platform Hungama.com is set to offer its users on-demand movies from Disney and Marvel.
The service will enable users to experience Marvel action and Disney movies according to their convenience through a VOD subscription. Viewers across the Indian sub-continent including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh can stream movies of their choice on their laptops, mobiles, and PCs.
Some of the movies that the service will offer include ‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Marvel’s The Avengers’ along with animated films like ‘Up’, ‘Tarzan’, ‘Ratatouille’, ‘Toy Story’, ‘Tangled’, ‘Cars, ‘The Incredibles’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Wall-E’, and more.
Hungama.com CEO Siddhartha Roy said, “We are extremely pleased to announce the addition of Marvel and Disney’s catalogue to our streaming service. Over the years, the rich history of these movies has touched all our lives in one way or another. Hungama is proud to add this to our catalogue. Anticipating the interest in the catalogue, we are also offering a special VOD subscription to our viewers for the same and we are sure our users will have a great time enjoying them.”
The movies will be available for a fee starting from Rs 75 for TVOD and Rs 149 (SD) and Rs 249 (HD) for SVOD titles.
Earlier in 2013, Hungama had collaborated with Warner Bros Digital Distribution to offer full-length feature films such as ‘The Departed’, ‘The Blind Side’, ‘The Dark Knight’ series, ‘Tom & Jerry’, ‘Looney Tunes’, etc. on Hungama Movies.
Hungama Movies reportedly has over 5,000 regional, Bollywood, and Hollywood movies in HD and SD. Hungama claims to have over 2.5 million pieces of content in the form of music, movies, music videos, mobile ringtones, and wallpapers across genres and languages.
