‘Connecting India’ to be theme of 23rd Convergence India

MUMBAI: ‘Connecting India’ will be the theme of the 23rd edition of Convergence India which will be held from 21 to 23 January at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The forthcoming international expo is endorsed by the Department of Telecommunication and the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also extending its support to the event.

Exhibitions India Group (EIG) has been organising the annual International Convergence India series of expos since 1992.

The conference will attract over 100 speakers, 1,500 conference delegates, 15,000 business visitors, and participation by more than 400 companies from 30 countries like Australia, Canada, China, the USA, UK, UAE, South Korea, Norway, Singapore, Japan and more, showcasing latest trends and technologies.

Key exhibitors include Sony, Ericsson, Harris Communications, C-DOT, Appear TV, Nagravision, MStar, Broadcom Corporation, UTStarcom, and Conax.

The event will also have two parallel conference sessions focusing on telecom, broadcast, cable TV, satellite, VAS, cloud and smart devices.

The expo will also play host to the second Telecom Summit 2015 on ‘Rural Broadband Technologies and Applications for Citizen Services’.

Exhibitions India Group chairman Prem Behl said, “Convergence India is an important platform which showcases emerging global technologies and how they impact urban as well as rural India. The previous edition had over 12,000 visitors and participation by 326 exhibitors from 20 countries. The conference had over 144 eminent speakers and attracted over 1,134 delegates.
