As per data from the social networking platform, conversations around #BB9 reached over 80,000 tweets on the day of the premiere episode, positioning ‘Bigg Boss 9’ as one of the biggest TV moments of the year on Twitter.

The Twitter conversation went up by 104 per cent this year, compared to last year’s premiere episode day.

Hours before the launch episode went on air at 9 pm on Colors, fans took to Twitter to talk about all the revelations that were in store.

As the contestant announcements rolled in, users tweeted their opinions about ‘jodis’, the show’s new #DoubleTrouble twist and about Salman Khan’s antics.
