MUMBAI: US online retail major Amazon is all set to launch Amazon Prime Music service in India. The music streaming service will available for free to Prime customers along with Amazon Prime Video.

The launch comes close on the heels of Amazon increasing the yearly fee of Prime membership to Rs 999. Earlier, it was charging Rs 499 for annual Prime membership.

Through Prime membership, Amazon offers free fast delivery, special discounts, early access to deals, unlimited Amazon Prime Video streaming services and free delivery on Prime products.

Amazon Prime Music offers over 2 million songs ad-free which is available on any Echo device, and also for offline listening.

The service will offer Prime Members free access to unlimited ad-free music streaming across genres and languages. Amazon has inked a non-exclusive deal with several music labels in India.

“Prime members will soon get to enjoy ad-free music streaming across millions of songs in English and multiple Indian languages across multiple devices. All this will be included with your Prime membership at no additional cost,” Amazon Prime India posted on its website.
