Red FM enters Chandigarh and Amritsar, unveils shows and RJs

MUMBAI: Strengthening its presence in the Punjab market, radio network 93.5 Red FM announced its entry into the cities of Chandigarh and Amritsar.

As part of its Phase III expansion, the radio stations will be launched on 22 April. The station launches will see a special performance by singer Mika at Leisure Valley, Chandigarh. The singer will perform before a crowd of thousands of Punjabi fans at an event called the ‘Swag Fest’.

Red FM Chandigarh and Amritsar will play hits from all musical genres including Bollywood and Punjabi.

The radio network unveiled its RJs at a gala pre-launch event recently, which saw performances by the Nooran Sisters and Kamal Khan at Berkley Square, Chandigarh.

The radio stations in Chandigarh and Amritsar were abuzz with celebrities such as Kaur B, Navv Inder, Punjabi actor and singer Harish Verma, and the Nooran Sisters, who visited the Red FM studios to mark the launch.

The programming and RJ line-up for the new stations will be as follows:

‘Morning No. 1’: RJ Anubhav will host Morning#1 every Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 11 am.

‘Dramaqueen’: RJ Shatabdi will host ‘Dramaqueen’ every Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.

‘Vellapanti.com’: RJ Youngveer will host this programme from Monday to Saturday, 2 pm–5 pm.

‘CH 935’: RJ Rishi and RJ Lakha will make listeners laugh on their show ‘CH935’ from Monday to Saturday, 5–9 pm.

‘Midnight Masala’: RJ Deeksha will deliver listeners’ weirdest messages to their loved—as well as not-so-loved—ones from Monday to Friday, 10 pm–1 am.
