Radio City launches station in Nashik

MUMBAI: Jagran Prakashan’s subsidiary Music Broadcast Ltd, which runs the Radio City brand, has strengthened its presence in Maharashtra by launching its tenth station in the state.

The radio broadcaster has launched a new station in Nashik under 95 FM frequency. The new station aims to present entertaining, innovative and creative content from ‘Nashik Ke Kone Kone Se’.

The new station will air Radio City’s most loved retro show ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi’ in Marathi and the playlist will comprise Bollywood songs from the golden era customised exclusively for the listeners of Nashik.

Music Broadcast CEO, Abraham Thomas said, “We are elated to strengthen our presence in Maharashtra by announcing our 10th Station, Radio City 95 FM in Nashik. We are all set to spread our wings and take Radio City to newer heights with each station launch of Phase III. .We are certain that we will see a great response from Nashik, like our other stations in Maharashtra.”

The station will play songs from across genres such as romantic, retro, new age peppy and ghazals. It will also offer its listeners the daily dose of city happenings and humour.

Nashik 95FM was launched by Hrithik Roshan along with Love Guru, Babber Sher, Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi and Radio City RJ’s. Taking the ‘Rag Rag Mein Daude City’ ideology ahead, Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar took the listeners on a city tour in a Radio City branded vehicle.

Music Broadcast Limited currently has 39 stations, including 11 newly acquired stations in Phase III auctions.

Radio City has recently launched in Kanpur Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Patiala, Nashik and Jamshedpur. It will soon be launching in Patna, Bikaner, Kolhapur and Madurai.

Radio City also operates a web radio on Planetradiocity.com, which has 40 stations as of date.
