Big FM, Benadryl unveil ‘Golden Voice 3’; to go overseas for first time
MUMBAI: Riding on the success of its first two seasons, Big FM, in association with Benadryl, has unveiled the third season of its music talent show ‘Benadryl Big Golden Voice 3’. In this edition, the talent hunt show will go overseas for the first time.
Singing enthusiasts from across the globe including the US, Canada, Pakistan, and Bangladesh can now showcase their singing talent along with their Indian counterparts to win the Benadryl Big Golden Voice title. The grand finale winner will get their break in Bollywood alongside music maestro and face of the initiative, Shankar Mahadevan.
The call for entries begins on 3 July 2015. Contestants can register and audition through IVRS, SMS, and the Big FM website.
Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd EVP and national business head Ashwin Padmanabhan said, “Big FM has spearheaded numerous initiatives that endeavour to bring forth hidden and untapped talent, and after the tremendous response and great appreciation from our listeners for the last two seasons of Benadryl Big Golden Voice, we aim to take the show to an all-new level by introducing an international leg to the campaign this time around. With this, we look forward to not only unravelling local talent, but also discovering international potential. Our associations with advertisers too will garner international exposure for them to communicate with their consumers overseas effectively.”
Inviting auditions from across 37 sociocultural regions, the show will be promoted through a 360-degree marketing and digital campaign. With expansion into the digital space, the radio network will welcome digital entries, videos, and web episodes, and has tied up with online music academies.
Winners from each region competing to make it to the top 12 will be assigned gurus who will nurture them in a two-day workshop. These 12 finalists will then compete with the overseas finalists to take home the title.
Mahadevan said, “It is amazing that India has such vast talent and initiatives like Benadryl Big Golden Voice bring out the raw singing talent from the nook and corner of the country. This year it is only getting bigger and it will be a delight to hear some of the extraordinary voices from across boundaries and judge them. It is a truly amazing effort by Big FM and I wish them all the best.”
The ‘maha’ judge for the grand finale of this season will also be Shankar Mahadevan.
