Akashvani to host ‘Akhil Bharatiya Tarahi Kavi Sammelan’

MUMBAI: Akashvani is organising Akhil Bharatiya Tarahi Kavi Sammelan on the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday.

The event will be held on 11 December at 6 pm in New Delhi. The recorded show will be broadcast on 25 December, the day of Vajpayee’s birthday.

For the Sammelan, poets will compose their own poem on the base lines taken from the two well-known poems of the former Prime Minister. The base lines could be ‘Kadam Milakar Chalna Hoga’ and ‘Aao phir se diya jalayien’.

The public service broadcaster has invited 12 eminent poets from all over India. They will recite two poems, one of which they will compose from the base line and the other would be their own composition.

The invited poets include Balswarup Rahi (Delhi), Yash Malviya (Allahabad), Dr. Kirti Kale (Delhi), Satya Narayan (Patna), Alok Shrivastava (Delhi), Rajesh Raj (Gorakhpur), Chandni Pandey ((Kanpur), Vijay Manav (Delhi), Narendra Dipak (Bhopal), Vinod Shrivastava (Kanpur), Naresh Shandilaya (Delhi), Dinesh Raghuvanshi (Faridabad).
