Amidst all the celebrations and festivities, viewers can look forward to some spectacular performances on this weekend’s episode of ZEE TV’s I Can Do That and one such act was by our powerhouse VJ Bani, who performed Mallakamb, blindfolded with 12 visually impaired children!
Bani who is a go-getter, holds a strong spirit for adventure and with her grit and determination floored host Farhan Akhtar, her fellow contestants and the studio audiences with this performance on the show soon after her nose surgery. Despite their physical challenge, the children in the act performed with utmost precision and stunned everybody. The children have been practicing this art for quite some time now and have eventually mastered it but it was the first time for Bani. Mallakamb is all about holding a steady stance with control and body balance, core strength and right postures. Kudos to Bani for matching up to these kids and executing a perfect act, which won her a standing ovation from everybody present.
Soon after her powerful performance Bani broke down and dedicated her act to each every member of the Mallakamb group. She shared how emotionally attached she had become to these inspiring children, who keep everything aside to pursue this art and inspire her become a better person and achieve the impossible. She said, “It is inspiring to see these kids perform despite being visually challenged. The most beautiful part is that they are so pure and positive in life, maybe because they don’t absorb any negativity around. We have so much to learn from these beautiful souls and had it not been for their support, I wouldn’t have been able to execute this physically challenging task.”
Thanking them for all their encouragement and support, she even gave them gifts for Diwali.
This weekend is a fun-filled Diwali special along with many power packed performances and the quirkiest gifts given to the contestants that match their personalities!
