His fans were also treated to the rare opportunity to foot stomp to his beats for 6 whole hours! For the first time in India, a gigantic flying ball as well as trampolines were used on the stage for the dancers to create an unbelievable blend of theatre, acrobatics and dance music. Armin recreated his magical tracks with vocalists Trevor Guthrie, Cindy Alma, Fiora Cutler, Laura Evans and Richard Bedford, with whom he has collaborated with for tracks such as ‘Beautiful Life’, ‘Waiting for the night’, ‘Love never came’ and many more.
Speaking at the event, Joint Managing Director,Percept Limited, Shailendra Singh, says, “Now in season 8 of Sunburn, we have truly aimed to push the envelope to bring our fans something they’ve never experienced before. Through Armin Only ‘Intense’, we have undoubtedly changed the way Indians will consume electronic dance music and this theatrical format is one which has never been witnessed in India before. This is a first of its kind indoor gig with a full blown set up like this and seeing the over enthused fans, I’m confident that we’ve set the bench mark for live experience entertainment space in India.”
Speaking on this occasion, Armin Van Buuren says, “It has always been amazing to play in India, the crowd never seizes to amaze me. Mumbai was on the top of my list for the Armin Only ‘Intense’ tour. Unlike today, now that it’s all based on short sets and quick highlights, it used to be all about the long sets, the musical trips. That’s what Armin Only is based on — I am looking forward to take the clubbers on a 6+ hour journey into music. Through the Armin Only: Intense show I can tell them the full story of my Intense album – in fact everything I’d like to say!”
