Sony MIX, India’s Most loved Hindi Music Channel is now also the No. 1
Mumbai: Multi Screen Media’s music channel – ‘Sony MIX’ has successfully established itself as a destination dedicated to pure music ever since its launch. Maintaining its reputation of India’s most loved Hindi music channel, MIX has now also become the No.1 music channel of the country. The channel has maintained its No. 1 spot from the 49th week of 2013 (December) to 4th week of 2014 (January) eight weeks in a row. Due to huge demand and popularity among the audience, MIX has achieved an average TVT of 124 during this period.
Quality music has always been the central pillar for Sony MIX which has now helped it to achieve this milestone. Strength of the channel lies not just in new collection of songs, but also the variety and range of the music; not just break less music but also programing and scheduling as per mood and tempo of the audience. Apart from an extensive music playout, MIX also focuses on innovative and interesting programs like ‘MIX Solos’, showcasing the story and people behind the music and ‘TV KA Phela Radio Show’, a unique concept bringing the platforms of TV and Radio together.
Commenting on the success of the channel Neeraj Vyas, Executive Vice President & Business Head Sony MAX & Sony MIX says “At Sony MIX we always strive to bring quality music and concepts to our viewers. The No.1 status is a huge milestone for us as this is a direct indication of viewer support and appreciation. I thank all the viewers who have been supporting and readily accepting the new concepts and music that we bring them and also the entire Sony MIX team for their hard work. This great response has given us a huge boost to come up with more unique and interesting concepts loaded with more and more musical entertainment and keep up our reputation as the destination channel for music”.
By launching itself on Freedish, India’s first and only Free-to-Air (FTA) Direct-To-Home (DTH) Service from Doordarshan, Sony MIX has made itself available across the spectrum of distribution platforms making it by far the highest reach channel in the genre.
