Shashi Sumeet Productions gifts a day of fun to the kids from Angel Xpress this Republic Day

MUMBAI: Shashi Sumeet Productions, one of the largest production houses in India that creates path breaking television shows organized a fun filled Republic Day celebrations on the sets of Tu Mera Hero for underprivileged kids from the Angel Xpress NGO – a Mumbai based NGO that empowers the educated Mumbaikar who wants to contribute to society to help underprivileged children in their neighborhoods by giving them the opportunity to teach these kids in neighborhood parks.

The day began with the hoisting of the flag. The kids present along with the cast and crew sang the National Anthem as they paid their respects to the flag. This was followed by the Nimbo and Spoon race by the kids. The entire cast and crew was seen cheering the kids on. The day ended with the prize distribution where Sumeet H Mittal – Co-Founder/Director, Shashi Sumeet Productions along with the leads of the show Priyanshu Jora (Titu) and Sonia Balani (Panchi) gave away the prizes to the winners.

Commenting at the Republic Day activity, Priyanshu Jora who plays the lead character of Titu said, “It was a really lovely day and it felt really great to spend time with the kids from Angel Xpress. I am very thankful to the Shashi Sumeet Productions team that enables us to give back to society and spread a little joy and happiness to those that are less fortunate than us.

Sonia Balani who plays the female lead – Panchi, also said, “The kids were great to interact with – full of life and fun. It made me feel really happy to be a part of this event and contribute a little time towards making these kids happy.

“At Shashi Sumeet Productions, we believe that even the smallest measures go a long way and therefore we try whatever little we can to give back to the community we live in. We believe in the cause of Angel Xpress and therefore have associated with them for this event. Education as a whole is important but the education of those less fortunate is of greater importance to enable them to better their circumstances.” says Sumeet H. Mittal, Co-Founder/Director, Shashi Sumeet Productions.
