Kasthuri TV adds new shows to programming

MUMBAI: Kannada general entertainment channel Kasthuri TV is launching a set of new shows to add to its programming line-up in the primetime band.

White Horse Network Services (which manages the channel) MD and CEO P Kailasam said, “Based on the survey conducted for regional channel viewership, the channel has planned its primetime shows.”

As a result, the first two new daily soaps ‘Nee Hacchida Kumkuma’ and ‘Prema Pallavi’ will launch on 27 April 2015, airing at 7 pm and 7:30 pm every Monday to Friday respectively.

‘Nee Hacchida Kumkuma’ directed and produced by Shashidar, will depict the importance of moral values in one’s life. The story revolves around the lead characters Mrudula, Aishwarya and Samay, their relationships with each other and their approach towards life. It has been shot in Gandhi Bazaar, Bangalore, various malls that give the audience a glimpse of city life and Madikeri.

Meanwhile, ‘Prema Pallavi’ directed and produced by Rekha Rani revolves around the characters Suryakanthi, Chandrakanthi, Shalwa and Parashara. It portrays a love story between these characters while going through various twists and turns.

Kasthuri TV business head G.V Krishnamurthy stated, “Kasthuri channel has a huge viewership and now that we have come up with new shows we are sure our viewership will further increase making our Kasthuri family a better place for entertainment. We have made many interesting changes in the upcoming programs which will not only entertain viewers but also get them associated with Kasthuri.”

Along with this Kasthuri TV has planned to bring a new cookery show ‘Kitchen Kamaal’ for its viewers that will bring a range of international and authentic recipes from all over the world.

The channel has also planned a new show reflecting the culture and family values in ‘Ganda Hendathi’. The show will present the bond between a husband and wife. The show will offer entertainment, comedy, song, dance and witty talks by anchors Naveen Krishna and Mahalakshmi. The show will be inviting participants from districts all over Karnataka.
