Join the Mehra family of Dil Dhadakne Do to brighten this Diwali on Saturday

Mumbai: It is that time of the year again! Just as families get together to celebrate Diwali, &pictures, India’s premium interactive movie channel, will showcase a crackling family entertainer – ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ on Saturday, 7th November at 8 PM. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film boasts of a stellar cast including Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Ranvir Singh and Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan as the voice of the dog, Pluto Mehra. Each character of the multi-starrer movie will bring a smile to your face and there is nothing more entertaining this weekend than spending it with the Mehras.

Talking about her experience on Dil Dhakadne Do, Priyanka Chopra said, “Working with Zoya was wonderful, because she is so affectionate and sensitive about the characters. She is undoubtedly one of the Top 5 directors of India. Also, all the actors were so good and passionate that we never faced any difficulty with each other because everyone felt like giving their best due to the environment that was created. The preparations and pre-production arrangements by Excel made the entire shoot convenient and fun.”

Dil Dhadakne Do is about the Mehra family, where Kamal Mehra (Anil Kapoor) and his wife Neelam (Shefali Shah) plan a luxury international cruise holiday to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. Along with their two children Kabir (Ranveer Singh) and Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra), the Mehra’s also invite a bunch of their relatives and friends to join them on this lavish trip. The Delhi-based Mehra’s look happy from the outside, but their empire is crumbling. And the unconventional methods adopted to avert this situation lead to a sequence of hilarious moments.

Talking about the movie, Zoya Akhtar, Director said, “It was extremely tough to shoot on the cruise but very beautiful at the same time. We had to adhere to the ships rules and schedules that brought certain challenges. It was beautiful because we sailed across the Mediterranean to Africa every week. The entire crew was together all the time and shared a close bond. The chance of working around dolphins and whales lunging in the wild was definitely an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
