DID contestant Nirmal Tamang’s Indomitable Spirit wins Dada’s Grand Salute
Mumbai: As the biggest battle for the coveted trophy and the title of India’s next dancing star is heating up with each passing week, the top 11 immensely talented dancing stars are not leaving any stone unturned in putting their best foot forward. Week on week DID 5 contestants are showcasing exceptional acts that are enthralling the judges, Grandmaster and audiences alike.
One such contestant who has been mesmerizing the judges with his performances is the contemporary king Nirmal Tamang from Nepal. This week Nirmal and Sahil from Gaiti Ke Gangsters will present a captivating and daring aerial act on a trapeze. This duet performance will see them not just dancing mid-air but also exhibiting some unbelievable stunts on the prop. However, a day prior to the shoot while rehearsing for one such stunt where Nirmal was supposed to bend backward on the trapeze and hold Sahil, Nirmal severely sprained his back and had to be immediately rushed for medical help. He was given pain killer shots and asked to rest.
Nirmal was in excruciating pain throughout the day and could not make it for the rehearsals thereafter. The next morning saw the beginning of the shoot for the battle episode, where Punit Ke Panthers had to battle it out with Gaiti Ke Gangsters. While everybody thought Nirmal who was still on severe pain killers will either opt out or give a damp squib of a performance, took everybody by surprise when he performed a contemporary act with his hands tied with a rope on the famous song ‘Mujhe Chhod Do Mere Haal Pe’ from the movie ‘Lootera’. He not only emoted every little nuance of the song but even embellished his act with some flips and head stands. His emotional act moved everyone and he won a grand salute from Dada. Nirmal despite being in unbearable pain did not let an iota of stress show on his face and with his outstanding solo performances, an entertaining horror trio act with a bhojpuri tadka and a an aerial duo act that will leave everybody overawed amidst lot of other acts.
