DD Bharati to pay musical tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

MUMBAI: In a bid to pay tribute to the father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary, DD Bharati, will present a musical programme ‘Sangeetanjali’ on 2 October.

The musical show will see Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan play some renditions and musical compositions including ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je’ and ‘Ram Dhun’.

‘Sangeetanjali’ will be telecast at 9 pm with a repeat telecast airing next day at 1 pm on DD Bharati.

The programme has been conceived and produced keeping in mind the exclusivity and with a view to pay musical tribute to Gandhi. The show is yet another step taken by DD Bharati towards reviving our culture and keeping our heritage intact.
