Amrita TV Launches ‘’Super Star Junior’’ with Sujata,Vijay Yesudas and Stephen as Jury

MUMBAI: A grand spectacle of musical entertainment awaits all who have a passion for music. Amrita TV launches ‘’Super Star Junior’’ on March 11 as a one-hour show, Friday to Sunday from 8- 9 pm. Mounted on a magnificent set at Chitranjali Studio,using cutting-edge sound,lighting,graphics and stagecraft technology, the musical extravaganza will be a viewer’s delight.

The star attraction of ‘’Super Star Junior’’ is the eminent jury panel comprising ace musicians who are household names—Sujata, Vijay Yesudas and Stephen Devassy. ‘’Super Star Junior’’ will have novel content presented in engaging formats, which will be a blend of music, fun,emotions and interactions.

The contestants were handpicked by noted playback singers Sujata and Vijay Yesudas through a rigorous process of auditions which were conducted in various centres in Kerala—with the final auditions at Trivandrum.

Eighteen contestants in the age group 8-14, comprising 7 boys and 11 girls will be vying for the top honours. The contestants represent a cross-section–from various districts of Kerala.

Amrita ‘’Super Star Junior’’ which starts on March 11(Fri-Sun 8 pm) will be on air for about 6 months ,and the Grand Finale is planned during the Onam festival.
