92.7 BIG FM launches ‘My Mom My Hero’

Mumbai: Mother’s Day is just around the corner and so is the opportunity to celebrate motherhood. Thus, second time in a row, 92.7 BIG FM takes up a unique initiative to honour mothers’ efforts across the country through a distinctive campaign – My Mom, My Hero, an audio movie that will be aired across all the 45 stations of the 92.7 BIG FM network.

Owing to the enormous success that the radio network’s campaign, ‘Radio Ki Pehli Picture – Maa Ke Aanchal Mein’, received last year, India’s Most Popular Radio Network is back with its second movie, only this time that movie could be about you!

A chef, a chauffeur, a friend, a teacher and a doctor – a mother is everything her child wants her to be. To return her unconditional love, this Mothers’ Day, 92.7 BIG FM, gives listeners a chance to express their love for her through a heartfelt story about how their mothers have been their heroes. A contest will take place on 92.7 BIG FM wherein listeners can share their stories showcasing their most memorable experiences with their mothers. Five best stories will be shortlisted by the radio station. One lucky winner will get an opportunity to have his/her story scripted into a two hours radio movie on May 17, 2015

Speaking about his involvement in the campaign, ace director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra stated, “This campaign is a beautiful way to show your gratitude to mothers across the country. The fact that we will be making a movie based on a true story between the relationship of a mother and her child is what stands out here. We are not just scripting a made-up story but letting everyone know what a mother can really do for her child. Moreover, an audio movie is definitely a challenge to bring out the emotions and sentiments right and there is no challenge more sacred in its beauty than this. I feel truly honoured to have received this opportunity and I thank 92.7 BIG FM for thinking of me as a fit for this project.”

Producer – Director Raman Kumar also spoke about being part of the campaign, “It is a privilege to be part of a campaign that is so original in its depiction of emotions and love. A mother’s love remains unparalleled to any other and scripting a story on life’s experiences is definitely a first one for me. It is as much a challenge as it is an honour because we are talking about the sentiments of two human beings and capturing it without visuals. I’m extremely delighted that I’m part of this campaign.”

Announcing the campaign, Ashwin Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, 92.7 BIG FM, said, “Mothers are superheroes and we don’t thank them enough for everything they do for us. Thus, at 92.7 BIG FM, we have come up with a distinctive campaign to express our gratitude to mothers across the country with our initiative – ‘My Mom, My Hero’. With Mothers’ Day around the corner, we want listeners to take a moment and thank their mothers, something they may have forgotten to do in a long while or are just shy of telling how thankful they are. Alongside, 92.7 BIG FM will also dedicate all their programming content to mothers by playing songs all day. Celebrities on-air will also share some interesting stories about their memories with their mothers. Through a day-long programming line-up and an engaging contest, 92.7 BIG FM is all geared up to celebrate mothers the ‘BIG’ way, this year!
