RTL CBS Asia in distribution deal with Singapore’s StarHub
MUMBAI: Singaporean pay TV service provider StarHub TV has inked a deal with RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network to bring in RTL CBS Entertainment HD and RTL CBS Extreme HD from 26 May. To give customers a taste of the channels, a free preview will be held from launch to 31 July.
In addition, on-demand and StarHub TV Anywhere options are scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2014, truly giving StarHub TV customers the added flexibility of watching the channels anytime, anywhere. The on-demand channels will allow viewers to catch up on their favourite programmes at their own convenience while customers can watch the channels on their laptops, smartphones and tablets on StarHub TV Anywhere.
RTL CBS Entertainment HD is a general entertainment channel which promises exclusive new seasons of titles. Upcoming highlights include ‘House of Cards’ with Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, ‘The Millers’ with Will Arnett and Jayma Mays, ‘Elementary’ with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, ‘Under the Dome’ with Dean Norris and Rachelle Lefevre, ‘America’s Got Talent’, ‘Entertainment Tonight’ and the Late Show with David Letterman.
The male-skewed action entertainment channel, RTL CBS Extreme HD positions itself as being the destination for extreme and action packed content such as ‘Dynamo: Magician Impossible’, ‘Criss Angel: BeLIEve’, ‘Fear Factor’, ‘Hawaii 5-0’ and ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’.
