Kyoorius Awards bestows 37 Blue Elephants and 4 Black Elephants on agencies
MUMBAI: The Kyoorius Advertising and Digital Awards ceremony held in Mumbai yesterday saw a total of 37 Blue Elephants and 4 Black Elephants being bagged by various advertising and digital advertising agencies.
In association with D&AD, the ceremony commenced with the 114 in-book winners being announced: 75 in Advertising, and 39 in Digital.
The winners of the in-book awards were Grey Worldwide, Ideas@Work, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis India, Famous Innovations, Happy Creative Services, Hungama Digital Services, Creativeland Asia, Soho Square, Scarecrow Communications, Thought Blurb, DDB Mudra, Candid Marketing, BBDO India, BBH, JWT, Webchutney, Fractalink Design Studio, Isobar, iContract and Sapient.
In-book winners were also nominees for Blue Elephants. Among the 114 entries nominated, the two juries awarded 37 Blue Elephants, with 24 Blue Elephants awarded in Advertising and 13 in Digital.
The Blue Elephants were presented by a group of members from the creative industry including Rajdeep Endow from Sapient, Shantanu Bhanja from Hindustan Times, Prema Sagar from Genesis Burson-Marsteller and CVL Srinivas from GroupM.
The 13 Blue Elephant winners in the Kyoorius Digital Awards category included work by Hungama Digital Services, Creativeland Asia, Fractalink Design Studio, Webchutney, Sapient, 120 Media Collective, BBH India, DDB Mudra, NicheMinds and Ogilvy & Mather.
In Advertising categories, 24 Blue Elephant winners included campaigns by Grey Worldwide, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis India, Sapient, DDB Mudra, Happy Creative Services, BBDO, Ideas@Work, Scarecrow, BBH, Soho Square, Creativeland Asia and JWT/ First December were awarded.
The celebration of the best in Indian creativity was attended by over 1200 creative professionals from the advertising and digital spheres and clients from across India and around the world.
The awards were hosted by Kamal Sidhu and Suresh Venkat, who entertained the audience through the wee hours of the night, accompanied by Indian band The Other People and DJ Hiren along with a Dutch performer.
