Fremantlemedia extends output deal with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver

MUMBAI: Television format creator and distributor FremantleMedia International has extended its output deal with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s independent television company Fresh One Productions.

FremantleMedia International will continue to distribute and be offered a first-look for all Fresh One productions featuring the chef. The deal also allows FMI to handle tape sales of Oliver’s existing shows — such as ‘Jamie’s Money Saving Meals/Save With Jamie; Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feasts and ‘Jamie’s 15-Minute Meals’ and shows made under the terms of the original deal as well as any future titles.

At the television trade event MipTV, in Cannes, France in April, FremantleMedia International will showcase two new Jamie Oliver titles – ‘Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club season two’ and ‘Jamie’s Festive Feasts’.

FremantleMedia International acting CEO Bob McCourt said, “Jamie Oliver is one of the world’s most pioneering and sought-after TV personalities, renowned for his global campaigning work as well as the diversity and quality of his output. He has been a stalwart of the FremantleMedia International catalogue for over a decade and I’m delighted that we are continuing our relationship with him and the team at Fresh One Productions.”

FMI began its relationship with Fresh One in 2002, when it began distributing ‘Oliver’s Twist’, which has so far been sold to more than 200 territories. Oliver’s most recent title, ‘Jamie’s Money Saving Meals’, which FMI launched at MipCom in October, has sold in more than 100 territories.
