Flipkart’s Billion in strategic partnership with SonyLIV for Capture+ phone

MUMBAI: E-commerce giant Flipkart’s brand, Billion, has entered into a strategic partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India’s (SPN) video-on-demand (VoD) platform SonyLIV for their newly launched phone, Capture+. This partnership will allow buyers to enjoy a plethora of content available on SonyLIV at no cost for three months on the Full HD 401 PPI screen offered by Capture+.

The Capture+ from Flipkart’s private label Billion is a brand which is not only made in India but also made for India. The phone’s features have been designed specifically to address Indian smartphone buyers’ needs, and it includes a 13MP+13MP dual rear camera, a quick-charging 3500 mah battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core processor and unlimited cloud storage, among others.

With this exclusive partnership, users can, for 3 months, view SonyLIV’ s premium content comprising over 1200 movies across genres, Ad-free TV Shows, Live TV & Sports and home-grown content.

SPNI EVP and Head – Digital Uday Sodhi said, “It is our endeavour to identify newer avenues and thus make our content available across the country to more users. Our association with Flipkart will help us move one step closer towards achieving this, given the synergy between the core values of ‘Billion’ and ours. Through this association, we want to give potential and existing customers a chance to experience what our platform has to offer by providing them with engaging content.”

Billion Category Hrishikesh Thite said, “Billion is a made-for-India brand and the Capture+ is designed to meet the needs of Indian smartphone buyers, including that of premium hardware as well as quality content. With the tie-up between Billion and SonyLIV, one of India’s largest digital content provider, Capture+ buyers can enjoy popular Indian content on the vivid full HD screen without worrying about running out of battery life.”
