ETV UP/Uttarakhand refreshes programming
MUMBAI: As part of its channel refresh strategy, ETV Uttar Pradesh/Uttarakhand has implemented several changes to its programming.
The news channel has added several new shows, providing viewers an enhanced experience in terms of content, formats and presentation.
Commenting on the channel refresh, A + E Networks | TV18 Network18 & MD president – strategy, product & alliances Avinash Kaul said, “It is our constant endeavour to innovate and evolve in order to cater to the changing needs of a highly discerning news audience in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Our new content will add tremendous depth to ETV Uttar Pradesh/Uttarakhand’s offering, and we are confident that these changes will be very well received by our viewers.”
The first primetime show launched on the channel as part of the current exercise is ‘Pradesh Prime’, which airs on weekdays at 7 pm. The show is hosted by Preeti Raghunandan and is a fast-paced bulletin that captures all critical news from across UP and Uttarakhand.
‘Kah Kar Hi Maanenge’, a discussion show focusing on getting to the key issues and stories, airs on weekdays at 8 pm. It is anchored by noted journalist Prateek Trivedi.
The channel has also added a new debate show, ‘Takkar’, to its line-up. The daily show, hosted by anchor Amish Devgan from Monday to Friday, will ask tough questions and will hold those in positions of influence accountable.
ETV News Network group editor Rajesh Raina stated, “ETV Uttar Pradesh/Uttarakhand has always been a trusted source of information for the people of these states. The new anchors and shows will further add to the credibility of the channel and consolidate its position as the channel of choice for the people of UP and Uttarakhand.”
To promote the new look and shows, the channel will be rolling out a multimedia campaign across the state.
