Elle magazine publisher to restructure business
MUMBAI: Ogaan Publications, the publishers of Elle and Elle Decor in India, is set to restructure the company to better reflect the sharpened focus on each of its target markets in fashion, beauty, décor, and lifestyle.
Under the restructuring, the company will be renamed Ogaan Media. Along with its current print and digital titles (Elle and Elle Decor), under Ogaan Publishing, it will also offer custom brand solutions across fashion, beauty, décor, and lifestyle categories encompassing print and digital.
It will also offer on-ground activities under Ogaan Cube and Ogaan Connect, and strengthen its portfolio of IPRs like India Design ID under Ogaan Live.
The company said that the restructuring marks a significant change in the company’s operating model and has been designed to take it into its next phase of growth.
As part of the restructuring, Kavita Bhartia will now be chairperson, and Archana Pillai, currently group publisher & CEO, will become vice chair, focusing on strategic planning and long-term corporate goals.
Gaurav Mashruwala will take over the mantle of running the company as CEO of Ogaan Media, moving from his existing role as publisher of Elle.
Takesh Mathur will take overall charge of F&A as CFO of Ogaan Media.
Sonia Bajaj will be promoted from publisher Elle Decor to publishing director Elle and Elle Decor, and will be in charge of advertising revenues across Ogaan Media titles.
Priyadarshini Kohli will be promoted to group advertising director and will be in charge of sales across Ogaan Media.
Elle Decor editor-in-chief Pramiti Madhavji will add the cap of content chief décor and lifestyle to her existing role, and oversee the content services of the bespoke divisions for the décor and lifestyle categories.
Elle editor Aishwarya Subramanyam will take additional charge as content chief fashion and beauty, in addition to her current responsibilities, and oversee the content services of the bespoke division for the fashion and beauty space.
Elle creative director Prashish More will take over as group creative director for Ogaan Media, overseeing both the print and digital titles, as well as the creative direction of the new services.
