Digivive launches video streaming nexGTv globally

MUMBAI: Subscription-led video entertainment app nexGTv, the flagship offering from Digivive Services, has launched its service globally.

The company has launched its Android and iOS app versions simultaneously.

The service is targeting Hindi-, English- and Tamil-speaking communities abroad. The company will focus initially to ensure that content in these three languages is made available on both its web and app platforms.

It will strategically provide content in markets with Indian population such as the UK, Australia, Canada and the US.

In the first phase, nexGTv has already secured the requisite digital rights to screen content beyond India borders for more than 11,500 hours of programming from close to 20,000 hours of programming it hosts on the platform. It has secured worldwide rights to content from Rajshree Entertainment, One Network Entertainment, HT Media, Star Entertainment and 9X Media.

The platform boasts more than 150+ channels, 1,000+ movies, as well as a huge inventory of VoD and television shows.

Anticipating demand, nexGTv has invested and strengthened its proprietary set-up comprising network, content sourcing and delivery infrastructure, along with operator and billing relationships.

Aside from the aggregated content, nexGTv will utilise this opportunity to globally showcase its mobiseries and its premier original series, ‘It’s My City’.

The 14-episode bi-weekly series, starring Priyanka Chopra, highlights the lives and challenges of four girls in a city far from home.
