‘Deadpool’ nearing $500 mn box office collection

MUMBAI: 20th Century Fox’s super hero film ‘Deadpool’ is nearing $500 million at the global box office.

comScore has announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of 21 February, as compiled by the company’s theatrical measurement services.

comScore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, “Fox’s ‘Deadpool’ does it again topping the global box office with a $140 million second weekend and in the process almost reaches the half billion plateau at a breakneck pace. Chinese title ‘Mei Ren You’ (The Mermaid) had a brilliant $57 million global weekend and thus brings its cumulative total to a whopping $421 million.”

The top 12 worldwide weekend box office estimates, listed in descending order, per data collected as of 21 February are:
