MUMBAI: Public broadcaster Doordarshan has collaborated with Hindi segmented entertainment channel Epic for sourcing high-quality software for simulcast of new TV shows.

This information was revealed in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (MIB) Rajyavardhan Rathore in a written reply to a question.

“Prasar Bharati has informed that Doordarshan has currently entered into collaboration with Epic Channel for sourcing high-quality software for simulcast of news shows or programmes,” said Rathore.

He added that earlier similar arrangements were made with Star Plus for ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and ‘Saraswatichandra’, and with Zee TV for ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Buddha’.
